Chapter 16: I'm Going to Marry This Girl

Tang Ailian suddenly felt something and turned back to notice the white-bearded old man standing next to her little dad.

The white-bearded old man had been observing Tang Ailian all along. He first glanced at the two-year-old ginseng seedlings tightly held by Tang Ailian, and then examined the chubby face of this white-skinned little girl. His eyes sparkled as he said, "It's rare to see such a beautiful girl. Whose child is she?"

He knew very well that she wasn't Tang Shuisheng's daughter. Although Tang Shuisheng had five daughters, a daughter as lively as her definitely wasn't one of his.

"This is my niece's daughter. Isn't she beautiful?" Tang Shuisheng said with a hint of pride. Despite the differences between his wife and his second brother's wife, Tang Ailian was still his niece's daughter.

The white-bearded man nodded, "Indeed, she's very pretty. Based on her appearance, she might have great fortune in the future."

Love Poetry also panicked, "It's not in Ailian's hand, is it? That's ginseng, you know! Dad said it's worth a lot. Quick, check around, maybe it slipped somewhere." She yelled anxiously.

The two little girls searched for a while, but they couldn't find the ginseng seedlings anywhere.

Tang Xiaohua became anxious, "It's not here anywhere. Could it be hidden in Ailian's clothes?"
