Chapter 63: Better Not to Let Pat Flower's Gang Get Her
**On the second day of school, Shi Mingyu and Long Huadeng came to ask Aiwen, "Did your sister Ailian beat up Baocheng and the repeating students yesterday?"
Aiwen nodded, "They wanted to snatch my bullet casing tank and even pushed me and Xiaohu into the ditch by the Yellow Side. My sister came to pick me up and ended up beating them."
Huadeng cautioned, "You should be careful; Baocheng is planning to get the older students from the senior division to come and fight you."
Aiwen didn't seem concerned, "Don't worry, they can't beat my sister." He flexed his arm, "Xiaohu and I aren't that weak either."
After the incident with Baocheng, Aiwen and Xiaohu went home and immediately asked Tang Ailian to teach them martial arts. Tang Ailian agreed, and from that day on, they began learning basic martial arts from her. Even Aiwen's younger sister, Aishi, joined in.
However, they didn't have to worry about the older students from the senior division showing up to fight them. After hearing that the targets were two first-graders and even a three-year-old toddler, no one was willing to come and confront them.
People began to believe in the rumors about Ailian's exceptional martial skills. Being able to train a three-year-old child into a little martial arts expert was no ordinary feat. Now, no one dared to mess with Ailian and her siblings, not because of Ailian herself, but because of the mysterious master behind her. Of course, Tang Erlong wasn't afraid of Ailian, but if he ever had a chance, he would still scold her for it. His mother no longer treated Ailian like a three-year-old and started assigning her household chores like fetching pig feed and climbing pine trees.
This made Ailian feel both frustrated and anxious. Doing chores would waste her time, and her top priority was practicing her powers. She couldn't stop thinking about the secret workshop with several times more spiritual energy than the outside world. She wanted to go there for training.
Her telekinetic power had already reached 7,000, and her martial power had advanced to the Sixth Level of the Beyond Awakening stage. Even if she ventured into the mountains alone, no wild creature could pose a threat to her, not even adult men. She could easily defeat a dozen of them.
However, she wondered how she could leave home without her mother worrying about her safety. As the months passed, she realized that her mother's pregnancy was making her even more anxious and protective.
After Chinese New Year in 1962, it was discovered that Liu Xiujian had been pregnant for more than two months. Since she had a menstrual cycle every four months, pregnancy often went unnoticed during the early stages.
Tang Lao Tai Tai estimated that this time she might be having a boy because of the alternating pattern in which she had given birth: first a daughter, then a son, followed by another daughter. It made sense for the fourth child to be a boy.
Tang Dalong also hoped for a son. Although he knew that having too many children would be hard on his wife, he had two daughters already and felt like something was missing without a son.
However, Ailian knew that her mother would give birth to another daughter. When the ripe watermelons were ready for harvest in July, Liu Xiujian gave birth to a seven-pound baby girl, whom they named Aile.
Aishi commented, "She looks better than Ailian did when she was a baby." In reality, Aile's features were not as well-defined as Ailian's.
On August 1st, Ailian turned four years old, which meant she could start eating the same meals as a five-year-old. Since her father wasn't at home, her mother cooked two fried eggs for her birthday breakfast. In addition, her sister gave her a folded paper boat.
Her grandmother had forgotten Ailian's birthday, so that day, she was left in charge of looking after Aile.
With only Ailian and Aile left at home, her grandmother entrusted Ailian with the responsibility of taking care of her sister.
Ailian had been preoccupied with her thoughts on how to leave home secretly for the workshop to train her abilities. She didn't even pay attention when her grandmother gave her bean seeds to sell, and she absently followed her grandmother to the marketplace.
Once they arrived at the market, her grandmother found a spot to set up her stall. After arranging everything, she asked Ailian, "Where are your bean seeds? Quickly put them here for sale."
Ailian exclaimed, handing over the bean seeds to her grandmother.
Sighing, her grandmother muttered to herself, "I hope she doesn't get caught up in Pat Flower's gang."
Dragon Sanmei, a fellow vendor selling eggs nearby, comforted her, "Your Ailian isn't an ordinary four-year-old. None of the older kids in the village can beat her. Why worry about what she does?"
